The real-time CO₂ ticker runs entirely inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript. High-precision calculations occur locally on your device rather than sending continuous background requests to a server every second.

We do not set tracking cookies or cross-site advertising identifiers.
If required, your browser's standard sessionStorage may be used temporarily to preserve your viewing preferences while navigating the site. This temporary state remains stored exclusively on your device and is discarded when you close your browser tab.
4. Static Web Hosting & Infrastructure
Carbonticker is hosted statically on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare acts as our Content Delivery Network (CDN) to ensure fast global loading speeds and protection against web attacks. 5. Open Scientific Datasets
All atmospheric measurements and baseline growth estimates displayed on Carbonticker are calculated from open-access scientific datasets published by public climate research institutions, including NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), NASA GISS, and the Global Carbon Project.
